Last Wednesday's Picks ROI improved greatly when first time starter Bourbon Bon Bay won at odds at 22-1 (See Below image from DRF). The day offered plenty of value for win bets. My picks went 4 for 10 including the late Daily Double. This week will be much colder than the last few weeks , but my plan is to still be on the rail every race to enjoy live racing. I am certain that there will be more than one moment that I will wish I were at Gulfstream or that we were back to summer racing. Until then, I will enjoy what is available.
I have changed my format (Last Week's Parx Selections and Old Format) to offer fewer selections in hope to beat the post time favorite. My "Win Bet" and "No Chalk" Picks offer 2 selections compared with other handicappers who offer 3 or 4 selections and claim a winning selection when their third or fourth choice wins a race. I anticipate scratches in races 6-10 and even the last race which should cheapen the ticket. The last leg is perplexing and many bettors will land on the 9 Runhappy Star with Rueben- hard to argue --but 2 Johnny oil has better AM works and better post for a firster.

NO CHALK 3 The Biggest One -- Trainer does well first off the claim and Mychal Sanchez has been riding well. Plus Gulfstream Park shippers have done well here watch the 6 Talia Ladybug as well -- not a fan of the long layoff but will be the on the lead if is in form could be a price!

NO CHALK 4 Starship Dreams is similar to the one above but will be a better price without Rueben -- also watch first time starter 7 La Regalado -- if the horse is decent may be better than these at first asking.

WIN BET 7 Start Mee Paco wants to win
NO CHALK 1 Daytime Lover sent out by Patricia Farro -- expect this one to run much better than the turf attempt -- Also, 2 Royal Coup is a last out winner and merits inclusion in horizontals.

WIN BET 2 Horse Be With You Harvey Pack -- long time race review caller for NYRA and fixture at the Saratoga Meet of bygone days used the tag line "May The Horse be With You."
NO CHALK 1 Loulovestheriver is the no chalk based on scratches and what is left in the race.

WIN BET Bai Bai Samarai shows nice AM works for debut -- Pennington and Servis area formidable pair -- Colletti's horse 1 Uptown Girl finished second twice and will probably be used under again while 3 Pop The Clutch is a NYRa invader for Carmouche and Levine -- did not run well on turf but will do better on dirt
NO CHALK 6 A Case Of You Throw out the race in the slop -- Best Foot Forward made the trip to breed with Claiborne Farm's Ironicus and now Kathy DeMasi wills end out a second time starter in a maiden claimer -- should be a price in here.

WIN BET 6 Quiet Please -- Rueben makes the difference
NO CHALK 3 Mani Pedi reunites with winning rider Dexter Haddock finished just in front of 6 Quiet please last out but I expect the other to go off as the favorite at post time.

WIN BET 4 Jeopardy James get Jaime Rodriguez who has been hot traveling around since Del Park closed for the season
NO CHALK 6 Almashriq just needs to get back to Ellis Park form to win this.

WIN BET 7 Classified Info reunites with Rueben

WIN BET 1 Still Alive Paco on the rail with most consistent horse
NO CHALK 3 Centerfold Angel 2nd last time out for a barn that is hot

WIN BET 1 No Tolerance The 3 Tequiliamademedoit looks much the best of the rest, but a nice exacta would be 3 Tequiliamademedoit with 1 No Tolerance. However, this race is an ALL race- if you can afford it -- because none of these horses seem to want to win -- 3 Tequiliamademedoit will have the lead at the top of the stretch and has struggled down the lane, so expect someone to close into the race.
NO CHALK 2 Johnny Oil has a good work out of the gate and better works overall than the outside firster who will be bet down with leading rider Rueben Silvera in the irons.
