The wait is over because Breeders' Cup is finally here! The two biggest days in racing with the penultimate race on Saturday evening, The Breeders' Cup Classic. After studying the past performances for days and listening to the pundits come up with scenarios to beat the short priced favorites, I have devised a few horizontal plays that can win some money, Remember all of these horses have proven themselves and deserve to be here, so they all have a chance of winning. Below are the Free Breeders' Cup Picks for Friday November 5th, 2021.
For your benefit, below is a map of the starting locations on the Del Mar Track for each BC race.
Friday's BC action begins with Race 6 at 2:50 PT and 5:50 EST

8 w 5,6 w 1,7,11,12,13 w 10 w 1,2,8,10, 14 = $25.00
Both the Pick 5 and Pick 4 tickets can be reduced if you do not trust Chad's horses since they seem to be a bit below his past runners, but he is heating up. I think Echo Zulu and Jack Christopher are singles - so spread int eh other races! I'll add some horses in Juvenile Fillies to hope to catch a price after I single EZ in the Pick 5.
Race 6 The Breeders Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint
While this race has been won by North American horses, so lets start there. Ward enters two horses - 8 Averly Jane who is undefeated and the deserving favorite along with 6 Twilight Gleaming (IRE). 9 One Timer for trainer Larry Rivelli seems light on speed figures but is undefeated and he and jockey Baird have been a winning combination. Clement a turf sprint specialist but 0 for in the Breeders' Cup has his go to rider Rosario on 11 Derrynane and will be closing from off the pace -- outside posts are comprised in this race and Del Mar Turf has been favoring the inside posts. For this reason, I like 1 Twilight Jet (IRE) and 3 Go Bears Go (IRE) to run up underneath.
Could you imagine 9 One Timer for Arlington Park trainer Rivelli and Jockey Baird in an exacta with 3 Go Bears Go (IRE) after the Bears put an end to racing at Arlington Park.
With all of the above written, Euro won this race last time at Del Mar, so 7 Armor (GB) could start the day with a win for a Guy Fawkes Day celebration.

Race 7 BC Juvenile Fillies
6 Echo Zulu is one of the horses that the pundits like to play against -- but I believe her sire Gun Runner won the BC Classic -- not certain the concern for getting the distance- I also like that she shipped out to California and trained on 10/15 and has been at least one training over the Del Mar surface. Echo Zulu was my play of the day on opening day at the SPA, so I'm sticking with her. 5 Juju's Map seems to be the play for the pundits. Everyone thinks Brad Cox is the best trainer for Breeders Cup -- last year was a home game for him - definitely will be tougher shipping cross country. 2 Hidden Connection seems be a special horse and BSF's are right there for those who have faith in the speed figures. I like 4 Tarabi for Cherie DeVaux to get in the money at a price.
The old horses improving sprint to route angle fits for 2,3,5.
Probably single 6 but if spreading 2,5,6 in the horizontals.
Race 8 BC Juvenile Fillies Turf
Again, I think Brad Cox is an excellent trainer and is having a breakout year, but that does not mean he will win every race 4 Turnerloose and 5 Bubble Rock will be bet down -- they are playable at their ML odds -- do not take less. 4 Turnerloose is the better play of the two. However, Chad Brown has won 5/13 in this race so 7 Consumer Spending and 11 Haughty need to be included. Finally, Clement needs to win sometime and 1 Pizza Bianca may give him that chance. Could the Euro's upset -- 12 Malavath (IRE), 6 Hello You (IRE), and 13 Mise En Scene (GB) has amen closing kick.
Race 9 BC Juvenile
The key to the race is improvement in BSF going sprint to route. Chad Brown shows his patented 5 furlong bullet workout move with 1 Jack Christopher -- Chad won this race last time it was at Del Mar with Practical Magic. 10 Commandperformance is right behind 1 Jack Christopher in last one. Baffert enters 3 horses of which 12 Corniche is probably best but stranded out there in post 12 probably not helpful. Meanwhile 8 Barossa just broke his maiden and 9 Pinehurst is 2 for 2 but with declining BSF going sprint to route.
Stop the presses: 1 Jack Christopher has scratched -- so we will adjust our ticket
10 Command Performance will need to win this as a maiden but lost to the favorite last out
8,9,12 are the three Baffert horses of which include in the order of 12,8, 9 and lastly include 5 Double Thunder and closer 3 Oviatt Class
Race 10 BC Juvenile Turf
Inside turf horses 1 Modern Games (IRE) and Albahr (GB) go out for Appleby -- he hinted at Modern Games (IRE) readiness for this race. 8 Glouthaune is an Aiden O'Brien horse so merits inclusion, of course Chad with Pratt 10 Portfolio Company, and from the far outside post Dubawi Legend (IRE).
