Aqueduct Selections for November 11th, 2021

Aqueduct Selections for November 11th, 2021

Thank you to all who are currently serving and to those who have served our country - we honor you today with our appreciation and thanks on Veterans' Day. While we remember those who give and have given so much for this country, let's commit to try harder to unite rather than divide.

After successful Saratoga and Belmont meets, we are moving toward a long Aqueduct meet for the next 6 months. Last winter leading trainer was Rudy Rodriguez and leading rider was Eric Cancel - but remember most of the trainer / jockey colony have not moved their tack to Gulfstream yet.

Excited to attend races at the Big A for the first time. Below are the Aqueduct Selections for November 11th, 2021.  6 of the 9 races are carded for the turf - so let's hope for sunny and clear or at least not rain for Thursday's card.

The below chart shows the horse’s likelihood of winning a race.  “A” horses are most likely while (B) and (C) horses are not as likely, they may offer more value.  The formation of the (A), (B) and (C) horses is derived from speed of horse, pace potential of race, training patterns, and track conditions.

RACE A HORSES B HORSES C HORSES

5 3,5
6 2,6 8,11,12
7 3 2,5,8

RACE 1

Fresh off his first BC victory, Clement sends out 8 Saratoga Gaze with DD in the saddle looking to win second time out.  6 Caumsett will set the pace and try to hold on while Donk and JR try to pass the first two down the lane with 1 Out Of Sight.

RACE 2

5 Great Workout returns to the locations and distance of his only win for TAP and Irad; 1 Black Irish and 8 Flipping Fun are last out winners and I love that angle especially at a price.

RACE 3

4 War Canoe is 3/6 winners on the Aqueduct turf.  Maker and Saez with 3 Candy Flower ran well despite breaking through the gate prior to the start in last race. and 2 Blue atlas is a last out winner for J Ortiz and trainer DePaz.

RACE 4

A pair of Pletcher's 1 Total Effort and 6 Waxman should take the all the Win pool money, but Chad Browns's 2 Core Conviction merits inclusion along with Shug's 4 Scalding - note J Ortiz chooses to ride for Brown, usually J Ortiz with Shug is a good combo.

RACE 5

The Ortiz brothers team up with Pletcher and Brown for a formidable pair --3 Graded On A Curve Brown and Irad while Pletcher has Jose back on 5 Mo Ready --they won last time together --Mo Ready and Jose that is.

RACE 6

Hard to bet against Ward in a Maiden Turf Sprint -- 2 Vaccine of Hope and 6 Nay Nay Say.  Clement also enters a pair 8 Adela (IRE) and 11 Gem Motion.  Also look out for J Ortiz jumping on trainer Motion's 12 Willakia.

RACE 7

2 Charlie Five O is sent out by Atras off the claim from Maker and switches to Dylan Davis. Trainer Michelle Nevin's 5 Twelfth Man is a deserving favorite while 8 Repo Rocks needs to get back to old form to win.  However, Breen's 3 Mr Fantasy interests me Saez with speed  is a good combination in a dirt sprint.

RACE 8

Interesting that Saez chooses Asmussen's turf runner over the Gargan's in this race - not certain what to make of that choice or was it an agent's decision.  8 Regal Speaker, 1 St Joe Louis Brown (IRE), and Maker's 2 King Cause in the rolling action - but I do not fault those who spread even deeper. Watch for thre longer half of the Brown uncoupled entry -- 6 Amano.  4 Hombre will look to steal the race on the front end.

RACE 9

12 Bella Principessa from the outside for last year's leading trainer at Aqueduct Rudy Rodriguez; 10 Perhaps tonight (IRE) for trainer Motion, and 9 Pop The Bubbly for the Nevin / Carmouche duo will all try to beat Falcone's claim from the Morley barn 1 Nowyuscantleave.
