The Longer Half of the Uncoupled Entry (Tracking Results)
When two horses either owned by the same owner or trained by the same trainer, the owner or trainer can choose to run them as a coupled entry -- 1 and 1A -- or they can be run as uncoupled (separate) entries --1 and 2. When the horses run as uncoupled (separate) entries, one horse usually is a shorter price like 3-1 and the other horse could be 10-1. It happens frequently that the horse with the longer odds wins the race. Therefore, the angle is to bet the Longer Half of the uncoupled entry. The angle hits frequently and since you are getting the longer odds, better price, it pays. Chad Brown and Todd Pletcher frequently saddle multiple horses in a race.
Belmont Race Card 6/19/2021:
Race 2 offers the Uncoupled Todd Pletcher entries of 3 Arham at odds of 5/2 and 4 Fort Worth at 5-1. Saez is up on the 3 and Irad on the 4.
Race 3 offers the uncoupled Chad Brown entries of 6 Cost Benefit at odds of 9/2 and the 7 Saratoga Affair at odds of 3-1. Eric Cancel is on the 6 while Irad is on the 7.
Race 6 offers two uncoupled entries from the Rudy Rodriguez barn and Christophe Clement barn. Rodriguez saddles the 6 Big Time Lady with Johnny V up at odds of 10-1, and the 8 Shesadirtydancer with Irad at odds of 12 -1. While Clement sends out 2 Proper Grammar at 5-1 with Rosario up, and 4 Sport Model at 8-1 with Saez up. It may be all for naught if Diordoro's 10 Ava's Grace shows up with her A game. If so, play the longer halves under the 10 for a nice exacta score.
I will track 10 dollar win bets on longer half of uncoupled entry, 5 dollar exacta box on the horses running 1-2 in the race for NYRA races through the remainder of the Belmont meet and for this summer's Saratoga meet.
Belmont 6/19/2021 RESULTS:
No longer half of Uncoupled Entry won at Belmont nor did the entries run 1-2 in the exacta.
-40 on win bets and -40 on exacta box plays. The play was an 80 dollar loss.
Belmont 6/20/21:
Race 7 Christophe Clement saddles the 3 Honey Pants with Irad and the 9 Too Sexy with Joelle Rosario. The 3 Honey Pants passes the 9 Too Sexy in the last few steps to upset the Longer Half of the Uncoupled Entry, but the exacta box returned 9.50 for every one dollar bet.
-10 on the win bet for Too Sexy but the 5 dollar exacta box with the two Clement horses returns 47.50 -- so we have bet 100 on the angle and have returned 47.50 cutting our losses almost n half.
In Race 9, the two other Chad Brown Horses, other than 1 Raging Bull with Irad, 3 Veronesi with Eric Cancel and 6 Front Run The Fed with Lezcano did not win nor get up for a "Brown Exacta." Therefore, the bets cost 40 dollars.
After two days, amount wagered is 140 and amount won is 47.50.
